Amidst the tales and gowns of an elegant dream I try and dance like I wanna love you
Is it one step too many

How will the egg dance on it’s awkward trip / Is there music to keep it honest
If you’re keeping time there’s an extra skip
And as it gathers momentum is it one step too many

So here we are at this ballroom scene and the band’s playing like it’s trying to forget
Broken crowns on the heads of kings and queens but this is not a waltz yet
