Sky Walls 03:43
take measure the room is small the elephant is me just outside there are sky walls untethered periphery so I'll shut my door to the possibility and give thanks the world too wide to see we're cursed with periphery our brains might burst with an omni view so let these walls be a friend to you and give thanks the room is small

finally September sigh the breeze is outside and so go I alone with my back to my home cause it's still summer swelter inside until these walls comply and burst open wide September sigh please come inside set sail for my soul to fly but the wind ignores and breezes by and I pray it blow this way to calm these housebound alarms until these walls comply and burst open wide September sigh please come inside usually in fall I sigh but this 2020 world is on a downward slide at my window September sighs but can it set free these masked souls outside

Mission 05:09
a weight hangs motionless within centered like a bad meal an infinite pendulum act halted in a moment of silence the pendulum is a wrecking ball displacing all that's precious inside like refugees from a torn up Mid East town and a giant wet blanket came down on everything so that all is expressed in muted thumping instead of brilliant vibration this is how the symphony is written dark and tense a tribute to what brought it down I don't know about your heaven the glory and the virgins that await you have you looked for it here we've all schemed explosions and tried to live guiltless lives maybe that's the motivation of the suicide mission the brain and the muscle could never take their earth away how do you save someone who's convinced of heaven who will rise and leave the drama behind a vacuum force that pulls the world to face it and the music made in it plays itself sadly on and in the numbing hush of fear we listen under damp weight oh we haven't the strength to turn round and run listen to or feel anything else I don't know about your heaven the glory and the virgins that await you have you looked for it here we've all schemed explosions and tried to live guiltless lives maybe that's the motivation of the suicide mission

thanksgiving and the earth feels flat just like this black or white table we gather at to sit with friends think of the conversations lost at the other end a million human dream millions of hands grasp across the ravine on each bank our heals dig in as we tug to close the seam how we've been bleeding rivers that keep our sins afloat a flood of blood tossing a tiny boat filled with a million migrants their language stuck in their throat encircling our privilege in a stormy moat a million human dream millions of hands grasp across the ravine on each bank our heals dig in as we tug to close the seam how we've been bleeding rivers

about

Bright Brown Brooklyn, New York

Bright Brown is sonic cinema. Bittersweet layers and textures abound, and beautifully crafted songs exist at the core. Alex Nahas’ songwriting boldly chooses to sit “between the meager and the mundane” elevating the everyday. He generates a broad sonic palette on the rarely seen, Chapman Stick and along with Nick Smeraski on drums, they've wowed audiences with their explosive duo performances. ... more
